What is the 2nd Chakra?
The Sacral chakra is about sexuality and
feelings. When it is open, your emotions are intact and
your feelings are expressed freely. You can be open to
intimacy and become much more passionate. You have no
taboos about your sexuality.
If you are rigid, prudish and unemotional,
the sacral chakra is under-active. And tend to be
"closed" around people, not allowing them
in.
If this chakra is over-active, you may be
all the time. You can be very sexual and feel emotionally
attached to people. If it is very over-active you could
be promiscuous.
The Second Chakra is the Emotional Body. It
is the Lymphatic Centre. The vibration of this centre is
orange. This is where our first emotions are processed.
It is the vibration need for building bone. The bones in
your body vibrate orange.

SECOND CHAKRA: NAVEL
CHAKRA
The SECOND CHAKRA is situated in the genital
region, the sacral centre, and is known as "Svadhistana"
chakra. It is connected with enjoyment, taste, devotion,
upliftment, and is ruled by Jupiter. It influences the
native relative to the strength of Jupiter in the natal
chart.
These two chakras lay the foundation of
life. While they relate directly to material aspects,
their function is to transform materiality into
spirituality. As such, the strength of Saturn and Jupiter
in a horoscope is essential for spiritual elevation and
the enjoyment of bliss. Conversely, weak and afflicted
Saturn and Jupiter in a natal horoscope indicate excess
material desire and sensory indulgence, and invite
misfortune, sorrow and disease.
Situated just below the navel, the Sacral
Chakra corresponds with bodily functions having to do
with liquid: circulation, urinary elimination, sexuality
and reproduction. If we have our base survival needs met
in the Base Chakra, we are more able to look at other
aspects of life, and this creates desire, which gets us
to move, to reach out, to grow and to
change.
The colour of the Sacral Chakra is orange.
It is ruled by the Moon, and is the centre of sexuality,
emotions, pleasure and creativity. It is slow in
movement, but not as slow as the Base Chakra.
Malfunctions of the Sacral Chakra can be indicated by
being overly ruled by our emotions with frequent and
dramatic emotional episodes or on the other hand being
flat, lifeless, dull and dry - two extremes which could
be seen as polarities.
As with all polarities, when they balance
each other, the relationship is healthy, and the person
prospers but, when there are extremes of one or the
other, problems can occur. Imbalances of this Chakra can
show in the physical body with uterine or bladder trouble
or in some cases, impotence or frigidity. Taking the
centre line through the extremes of any situation is the
best option, and by using our natural creativity we can
help ourselves.
When this chakra is clean, then the person
think only positive thoughts, then no impure thoughts or
feelings can penetrate. With impure feelings and thoughts
I mean egoistic and malicious. When we from the spiritual
dimensions talk about the concepts pure or impure, this
is what we mean, and nothing else.
But because it is the sex chakra that stands
for purity and the pure purple light, and because there
have been a lot of taboos about sex, then things have
been mixed up, and it has been said, that sex in itself
is impure. It is by no mean true, sex is only impure, if
it is practised for solely egoistic reasons, and/or by
hurting others. Sadism and masochism are impure varieties
of sexual behaviour, here one is hurting others to
satisfy oneself, or one forces others to hurt oneself,
thereby forcing a karmic burden upon someone
else.
It is located two inches below the navel and
is rooted into the spine. This centre holds the basic
needs for sexuality, creativity, intuition, and
self-worth. This chakra is also about friendliness,
creativity, and emotions.
It governs people’s sense of self-worth, their confidence in
their own creativity, and their ability to relate to others in
an open and friendly way. It's influenced by how emotions were
expressed or repressed in the family during childhood.
Proper balance in this chakra means the
ability to flow with emotions freely and to feel and
reach out to others sexually or not. If this chakra is
blocked a person may feel emotionally explosive,
manipulative, obsessed with thoughts of sex or may lack
energy.
The Sacral chakra is about feeling and sexuality. When it is
open, your feelings flow freely, and are expressed without you
being over-emotional. You are open to intimacy and
you can be passionate and lively. You have no problems dealing
with your sexuality.
If you tend to be stiff and unemotional or
have a "poker face," the sacral chakra is under-active.
You're not very open to people. If this chakra is
over-active, you tend to be emotional all the time.
You'll feel emotionally attached to people and you can be
very sexual.
How to work Your Second
Chakra
·
Allow the truth 'Honour One Another' to
penetrate your body.
·
Move your attention
gradually up your spine to your lower back, hips and
genital area.
·
Feel the fire and vibrant energy of this
area.
·
Focus that energy toward the key areas of
this chakra:
Relationships: Who am I going to be with today?
Work: What am I going to do today?
Money: How do I feel about it today?
Creativity: What am I going to create today?
Increase the power of Your Second
Chakra
1.
Direct your thoughts to your spine, lower
back, hips and genital area.
2.
Do you have any negativity that you're
carrying in regards to your relationships? Finances? Job?
Creative ventures?
3.
Feel all those fears, go into them and ask
yourself, "Why am I so afraid of change?"
4.
Release those fears with a prayer of trust
to the Divine: "Move into my life. Change what you need
because I am here for service. I may fear the changes but
I trust the changes."
5.
Now focus on the positive side of
relationships, finances and creativity. Celebrate all the
people whom you love and enjoy, the blessings you have
and the ideas you have brought forth into the world.
6.
Conclude with this prayer: "I offer myself
as a gift-giver; let me use the gifts given me by the
Divine to serve and honour others."
