Reiki Chakra Energizing  

Reiki Chakra energizing is a modification of the Reiki Energizing technique. In this specific practice, the chakras are filled with the Reiki energy and energized. The effect is delightful and helps strengthen our Reiki channel. This technique consists of two parts.  

First, perform the Reiki Energy Field Cleansing. This cleanses the energy field throughout the body and cleanses and transmutes negativity, strengthens the aura and etheric fields. Second, perform the following: 

1. Hold your hands at the stomach level, arms at the sides, hands in front with the palms facing upwards.  

2. Visualize the (use Cho Ku Rei if Level II). "See" or visualize the Reiki energy come down over your whole body head to toe. See it as a white light.  

3. See the Reiki energy come into the crown and begins to move downward toward the root chakra. Focus in on the root chakra and see a rich color red. Let the Reiki energy pour into it and strengthen it.  

4. See the Reiki energy come into the sacral chakra. See or visualize a vivid red-orange. Let the Reiki energy strengthen it and pour into it.  

5. See the Reiki energy come into the Hara (solar plexus) chakra. See or visualize a vivid translucent yellow. Let the Reiki energy strengthen it and pour into it.  

6. See the Reiki energy move into heart chakra and see a rich green or pink colour . Let the Reiki energy pour into it and strengthen it.  

7. See the Reiki energy move into throat chakra and see a vibrant blue color. Let the Reiki energy pour into it and strengthen it.  

8. Visualize the Reiki energy move into the third eye chakra. See the translucent color indigo. Let the Reiki energy pour into it and strengthen it. 

9. Finally, visualize the Reiki energy from the SOURCE move into the crown chakra. See the colours of intense white and gold. Let the Reiki energy pour into it and strengthen it.  

10. Let the Reiki energy run through the crown into the root and slowly fill again all the chakras. Finally let the energy run from crown to feet and into the earth. This grounds you and fills you with Reiki energy.  

11. Place the hands in the Gassho position and breathe normally for a few minutes.  

Chakras are energy centres that run from head to toe. There are actually 12 of them, but we will talk about the 7 most known ones. These centres are associated with our conscious and subconscious minds or our thought processes. The lower Chakras are associated with our animal or primal instincts. 

The chakras can have a variety of activity. Some wide open and others not so open. Some are what is considered "normal" in activity. 

In the perfect world these chakras would all operate on the Normal range until a change in activity is needed. Meaning our thoughts and feelings would work together perfectly. But this is not usually the case. Some chakras are under-active while other chakras are over-active. In the perfect state of a human the chakras are balanced. To discover what activity level your Chakras are in you can do a Chakra test. 

Luckily there are ways to balance the Chakras. Most techniques are geared toward opening Chakras. Because over-active Chakras are trying to compensate for under-active ones, it is best not to try and close the over-active ones until the under-active ones have been opened more. Unless the under-active ones have been opened, any you have closed would be over-active again in a short time. (I have included some techniques to open your Chakras). 

Seven Heaven"

Chakra is Sanskrit for "spinning wheel" or "vortex." There are seven chakras in the body.

First chakra (root, red): Located at the base of the spine, the root or foundation of the major chakras. It supports your will to live and supplies the body with vitality. Its energy fuels your need for food, shelter, and the basic necessities of life.

Second chakra (sacral, orange): Found below the navel in the lower abdomen. It's involved with sexuality, physical enjoyment and the attractive aspect of relationships. This is also where people hide guilt and humiliation.

Third chakra (solar plexus, yellow): At the base of the sternum, it brings in and sends out energy necessary for self-expression. Confidence and purpose, and fear and anger are also located here.

Fourth chakra (heart, green): Located at the center of the thoracic cavity behind the heart. It's related to all aspects of love, as well as joy, respect and surrender. Spiritual guidance and higher consciousness can also come through the heart chakra.

Fifth chakra (throat, blue): This chakra is at the base of the larynx and has to do with the expression of creativity through speaking and writing, and contemplation like thinking and planning. How you relate to others and groups manifest through it.

Sixth chakra (third eye, indigo): Found in the centre of the head, slightly above and between the eyebrows. It is involved with self-awareness, wisdom, higher consciousness, clairvoyance, visualization and conceptual thinking.

Seventh chakra (crown, violet/purple): At the top of the head, it connects you directly to higher power and spiritual consciousness. This chakra is commonly believed to be where the soul enters the physical body at birth and departs at death.
