Healing your children
I have found that the most benefit seems to come from a combination of the person giving the
reiki energy, the person receiving, the situation, the presence of compassion and Love, and the energy
technique. Sometimes a hug is the most powerful reiki technique.
Babies love Reiki. It is very healthy for them. Do not worry about it being too strong. Reiki
automatically adjusts to what the baby needs. I have personally seen many reiki babies with powerful
development and very high I.Q. after taking birth from a reiki mother. Because some mothers who were attuned
to reiki during pregnancy the child born to, they become natural reiki healers after birth.
DEPRESSION IN CHILDREN
- The depressed child may pretend to be sick, refuse to go to school, cling to a parent, or
worry that the parent may die.
- Older children may brood, get into trouble at school, be negative, bad-tempered, and feel
misunderstood.
- Because normal behaviours vary from one childhood stage to another, it can be difficult to
tell whether a child is just going through a temporary "phase" or is suffering from depression.
- In such a case, if a visit to the child's paediatrician’s rules out physical symptoms, the
doctor will probably suggest that the child be evaluated, preferably by a psychiatrist who specializes in
the treatment of children.
- If treatment is needed, the doctor may suggest that another therapist, usually a social
worker or a psychologist, provide therapy while the psychiatrist will oversee medication if it is needed.
- Parents should not be afraid to ask questions: What are the therapist's qualifications? What
kind of therapy will the child have? Will the family as a whole participate in therapy? Will my child's
therapy include an antidepressant? If so, what might the side effects be?
Together both the parents who are reiki masters can heal their depressive child
side by side with their doctors.
Healing your children with
Reiki energy and prayer
Years ago I belonged to a healing community here. A woman who
was a member of the group had an infant who was born with a serious condition which was meant to limit the young
child's life span to only three or four years maximum. The woman was totally committed to the health and well being
of her infant, and she spent every waking moment praying for her baby.
Her prayer went something like this: "Dear Lord, please heal my
baby and help him to be fully healthy." She offered up this prayer countless times a day.
After some months of praying, and with the child's condition
not improving, the mother spontaneously had an important "truth" present itself to her. She realized that in
praying for her child to be healed, in a deeper sense she was acknowledging the "fact" that indeed her child was
not well at this time.
In effect she was saying/praying "Lord, my child is currently
ill, and I am asking that you heal him and make him healthy in the future." She realized that if she was praying a
similar prayer for herself, it would be difficult for her to feel good about her chances of being healed if she was
continually reminding herself that she was currently not healthy.
She realized that even though her child was way too young to
understand the words of her prayer, that somehow her words would not be fully supporting her child in feeling and
being healthy now as well as in the future. With her new understanding of how her concept of time was deeply
affecting her prayer, she revised her concept and began praying the following: "Lord thank you for the health and
well being of my child. I am eternally grateful."
Rather than praying for how she wanted her child to be
different in the future, she prayed "from the future" and brought her prayer into the present. She prayed from an
understanding that her child was "already" healthy, and that he was simply in a rebalancing stage that if allowed
to run its course, would naturally bring about a continuation of his healthy state as time went
on.
In fact, we are commanded by Jesus to believe that he
will answer our prayers. In Mark 11:22-24, when the disciples saw what had happened to the fig tree after Jesus
cursed it, he told them; “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “I tell you the truth, if anyone say to this
mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will
happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have
received it and it will be yours.”
In everything, Jesus gave thanks. Paul tells us, in
Philippians 4:6; “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. If you are still besieged by doubts that God will answer your
prayer, give thanks to Him in advance! As those doubts pop up in your mind, keep thanking him and you
will receive from God. Giving thanks to God before receiving the answer to your prayer will
ultimately result in glory being given to God. And that’s what it’s all about. Give glory to
God!
Reiki is God’s
Energy
I believe in the source we refer to as ‘God’. This is the
powerful Universal Energy from which all that is manifests. This energy is always there and is available to all. My
God is the same as your God and everybody else’s God. However, we still try to categorize and define that energy in
different ways, depending upon our belief system and religious orientation.
God is love and so
are you.
God is compassion and so are you.
God is perfection and so are you.
God is forgiveness and so are you.
You are created in the image of your God but what happened to you? Have you forgotten your
essence? What was it that went wrong in your life that changed your love into fear, your compassion into
anger, your unconditional love into jealousy and envy, and your forgiveness into hatred? When you are angry
God has nothing to do with your state of mind.
